Zakaria brings an extensive experience in finance, banking, digital, commodities, and entrepreneurship. He has worked with leading banks, financial institutions, corporates, and governments. Throughout his 15+ years of international work experience, he was exposed to more than 17 countries spread across Europe, the Middle East & Africa where he had a consistent client-facing role whether he was working for Lloyds Bank (Geneva), Julius Baer (Geneva), HSBC (Geneva), Pictet Asset Management (Paris) or Thomson Reuters (Casablanca / Dubai).

Prior to joining Temenos, Zakaria was the founder and managing partner of Digital Impulse where he served leading institutions in Europe and Africa including among others BASF (world's largest chemical maker), Nareva (Africa’s largest renewable energy company) and Audi helping them in their digital transformation.

Zakaria is based in Morocco where is very active in the Swiss expatriate community. He’s the founder of the “Amicale Suisse de Casablanca” and he is very involved with both the Swiss embassy and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Morocco to promote the Swiss culture and economy in Morocco and to help deepen the relationship between the two countries.

Zakaria is a dual Swiss and Moroccan national and a citizen of the world as he spent 21 years in Switzerland, 5 Years in France and 9 years in Morocco. He loves all cultures and appreciate learning about and interacting with people.
